I use social care services

Self directed support puts what is important to you at the centre of all decision making. By planning your own support, you will be able to say exactly what is important to you, what you want help with and how, and live your life as independently as your situation allows.

In this section you will find step-by-step explanations of how the process works, as well as help with making your support plan. You will also find details of people and organisations who can help with your plan, and putting the plan into place. The menu on the left shows the various 'chapters' of this area of the website.

A staged introduction

Self directed support has now been introduced in all of Oxfordshire. If you are already receiving care and support from the council, you do not need to take any action. We will write to you to explain what will happen at your next review. This review date is different for each individual, so you may be offered a personal budget at a different time compared to other people.

If you would like to discuss what this means for you personally, please ring our team on 0845 050 7666.
