OBE - building the economic resilience of Oxfordshire
The Centre for Local Economic Strategies, when assessing the economic development leadership of Cherwell District Council in a national 'Economic Resilience' study in 2010, concluded that Oxfordshire Business Enterprises:
"... can be seen as an excellent example of an initiative that engages the public, social and private sector within the local economic territory. The public sector has engaged business leaders within the County to offer their time and expertise on a voluntary basis to ensure new business start ups within the area can receive advice that could prove crucial to the success of the enterprise in the long term".
